A Miracle in Your Family

December 23, 2021

Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying, “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” Luke 2:13-14 (NLT)

What made the angels sing about Jesus' birth? It's because they were announcing something revolutionary—the start of God restoring His family.

You see, ever since the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve sinned, God's family had been separated from Him. But Jesus was the starting point of peace on earth. He was going to take the sin of the world and offer unconditional love and forgiveness to anyone who would call on Him.

Maybe in your own family, you've lost hope. You may have children who have walked away from God, or maybe there's animosity between you and a sibling or in-law. You may feel like you've failed as a spouse or parent. But let me tell you something. God was a perfect Father—and His first two kids, Adam and Eve, still decided to go their own way.

As human parents, we do our best to raise our kids, but there may be areas we've missed. God's Word promises us that He is a Father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5). Not only is He a Father to orphans, but if we let Him, He'll step into the fatherless areas of our lives and fill the gap that our earthly parents left.

God knows what it's like for a family to be broken. If His family needed a miracle, so does yours. And just like He sent Jesus to restore our relationship with Him, He wants to bring the same healing to your home. This Christmas season, let's believe for miracles to take place in your family.
