Are You Under New Management?

Don’t copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Romans 12:2 (NLT)

Many born-again believers experience an inner struggle even with Jesus in their spirit. Why? It happens when our hearts and minds aren’t being renewed to align with our new, Christ-filled spirit.

Look at it this way. Let’s say you decided to purchase a huge company. It comes with thousands of employees and old policies and procedures. As the new owner, can you move that company in a new direction? Yes! However, your first job will be to win over all the employees to the new way you want things done. Why? Because all the employees are trained with the previous owner’s bad habits! You must retrain staff, reteach the sales force and change operations. You need to bring a new culture, a different direction, and a fresh way of thinking as the new owner. When you give your life to Jesus Christ, He is like that new owner!

The secret to letting God transform us as our “new owner” is by getting into His Word. Without continually refreshing our thought lives, it’s easy to fall back to former misbeliefs. God’s Word has the ability to tear apart our old, broken mindsets and replace them with His way of thinking. Imagine you have always struggled with feeling inferior or worthless, and then discover your Creator says you’re His precious child and loved beyond compare! Letting God’s truths sink deep into your heart and mind and take root is transformational!

Meditate on God’s truths. Fix your thoughts on what He says. Let Christ bring a fresh and right way of thinking to your life. You’ll be amazed at the transformation that takes place over time!
