AT FULL CAPACITY

July 23, 2022

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. Mark 16:17–18 (NKJV)

Many Christians see themselves as inferior. They were taught that self-deprecation is godly—that low self-esteem is the same thing as humility.

It’s not that they believe God is inferior; they just don’t realize who God has made them to be. This identity crisis is a huge problem because it limits your ability to achieve your potential, as well as your ability to reach out to others with God’s love. To correct this identity, we need to find out who we are in Christ. We have to program ourselves with the right settings.

If you buy a new piece of equipment or the latest device, the best way to get it to do all that you want it to do is to set it up correctly. You need to program it with your preferences. Many people buy the latest and greatest technology, but because they are unfamiliar with the instructions on how to use it, they don’t use it to its full capacity. This reminds me of Christians today.

The Bible is your instruction manual. Scriptures like today’s verse teach you about who you are and what you’re capable of. And when you begin to believe what it teaches, you program yourself with the right settings—and you begin to function at the level God intended for you.

The Bible is filled with revelation about what you can do and what this new you is like. Read it every day and realize your full capacity!
