Child of the King

October 23, 2021

I lay down my life that I may take it again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down and the power to take it again. John 10:17-18 (NKJV)

Jesus sacrificed for you willingly. When authorities arrested Him and one of His followers cut off a soldier’s ear, Jesus stopped him and said “Do you think I cannot now pray my Father, and He will provide me with more than twelve legions of angels?” (Matthew 26:53 NKJV)

Just to get an idea of the number of angels Jesus was talking about, a legion of soldiers at that time was an entire army, numbering over 5,000 men. In the Old Testament we have an example of one angel killing 185,000 men. Obviously, Jesus had no problem knowing His power and authority. No one took Jesus’ life. He gave it.

He was not weak; He was the Son of God. He died so that you and I could walk free from the penalty of Adam’s sin—that we could be empowered by His supernatural ability joining with our natural ability. He made it possible for us to rule and reign with Him.

Know who you are in Christ. When you understand what Jesus has done for you and who you are, you walk the planet with the authority and power He intends for you to have. God wants you to rise up above the circumstances you face with His Presence and power within you.

Who are you? You are a child of the King. You are more than a conqueror. You access the joy and power of God Himself and His angels protect you everywhere you go.
