To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27 (NKJV)
When you go through a difficult time, the temptation is to look inward at your own problems. You may begin to think, “Life is hard and no one knows how bad I’ve got it.” But as believers, we need to rise above this defeated mindset.
Now, don’t get me wrong—I’m not overlooking health problems such as depression and mental illness. But I believe many people could change the way they think, believe and act and be able to live a more fulfilling life. When we give in to a label or blame other people for the things we’re going through, we become weak, discouraged and un-energized. We let the incredible power of Jesus sit dormant within us.
Now, how do we begin to access this power? It’s through faith in God’s grace. You may have heard grace described as unmerited favour, but that begs the question, “What’s the favour?” The favour is God’s stunning power given to you—His ability to save, heal, prosper and protect you. As you develop faith in God’s grace, it helps you possess all of His promises.
Whatever challenge or storm you face, all the strength, power and energy you need is already yours. Christ in you is the hope of glory! God’s supernatural energy is rumbling within you like a powerful engine. It’s the same power that spoke the universe into existence. It’s the miraculous ability Jesus had when He walked the planet. And it’s in you as a believer! Choose to step into His strength and let it empower your body and mind.
