EASY TO BELIEVE

June 22, 2022

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless… those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:29,31 (NLT)

The Bible is not just a book of intellectual advice—it has the power to profoundly change you at the heart level. This kind of heart change affects the way you think and feel. You see, when your heart is persuaded, your emotions and even your thought life come into line. It becomes easy to believe God’s promises are yours when your heart is persuaded.

Getting persuaded is simple. Just keep envisioning God’s promises!

For example, if you’re sick, take a hold of the verse, “By His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5, NKJV). Maybe you’ve allowed an illness to become a part of your identity, but it’s not. You’re a child of God and healing is yours!

Picture what you want your health to look like. What do you want to be able to do? Envision yourself doing it, and feel what that feels like.

Then read Isaiah 40:29 and 31. Put yourself into the verse. Say, “God has given me power and new strength! I will soar high on wings like eagles! I will run and not grow weary! I will walk and not faint!”

See yourself puffing your chest out a bit. Strength is rising from within you. First you begin to walk, and then run. You have boundless energy because Jesus is in you, empowering your every step!

These are just examples of how you can begin to persuade your heart with the Word of God. As you envision each promise as though it’s done, your heart will begin to connect you to your miracle!
