God’s Promises of Provision are Greater!

December 30, 2021

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalms 23:1 (NKJV)

Did you know that God's provision for you supersedes the law of sowing and reaping? Many of us have been taught that we will reap what we sow. We’ve learned that if you do wrong, wrong is going to come back to you, some way, somehow.

Now, to a certain extent this is true, but not to the extent that some believe it. If you continually hurt people, it’s true that it's going to catch up with you. Others won't trust you, you’ll develop a bad reputation, and your actions will bring consequences to your relationships.

But Psalms 23:1 says that if Lord is your shepherd, you shall not want, and it doesn't first go through a list of requirements.

Some have said to me, “Leon, you can't help me. I'm just reaping what I've sowed. I've done a lot of wrong things, so I’m probably going to have a few decades of reaping some pretty bad stuff.” Even when you are reaping what you sowed, God's desire is to take you out of that heartache as fast as He can—even if your actions have caused you that pain.

Failing to take care of your body doesn’t disqualify you for healing. Treating people poorly doesn’t disqualify you from receiving His help when it comes to building great relationships. God wants to get you to a place of green grass and still waters, where mercy and goodness are following you.

God never abandons us, and His provision is greater than any bad consequences. The only prerequisite when it comes to His provision is believing His promises. The truth is God wants to bless you and help you live an amazing life.
