Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
When Jesus died for us, He did it so our sins could be forgiven—but He also gave us a whole lot more than that.
If you have given your life to Christ, He has adopted you into His family and made you an entirely new creation. Jesus didn’t die for you so you could go through life expecting failure after failure. He came so you could “have life and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)” John 10:10 (AMPC).
You are destined to live an incredibly successful life—healthy, prosperous, blessed, peaceful and joyful. You will have struggles in life. But you need to know that when Jesus died on the cross He didn’t only wipe away your sins… He made you entirely new.
As a new creation, you’ve been given the ability to live a life that’s completely different than what you were living before you began a relationship with Jesus. This doesn’t mean it happens instantly, however. You have to change the way you think, believe what God’s Word says and act to line up with His ways. This sounds like a big undertaking. But with Christ in you, you have the ability.
You’ll still go through difficult times, but when you imagine your future, imagine one filled with victory because that is what Jesus died to give you!
You don’t have to play the victim…praying, begging and pleading with God hoping He’ll get involved. He has already given you everything you need. It’s up to you to believe and take action. Declare that happiness, health, great relationships and every promise in God’s Word is yours.
