But as for me, I will look expectantly for the Lord and with confidence in Him I will keep watch; I will wait [with confident expectation] for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me. Micah 7:7 (AMP)
Many people wait till they have a problem to start waiting on God. But you can wait on Him every day. How? Simply by spending time with God. Sometimes all it takes is a few minutes to reset your mind. Other times you may spend an hour or two in the Word. The main thing is to set aside time every day to focus on and spend time with God.
Don't believe for a minute that prayer is only for problems. You can pray about the future getting brighter, your career succeeding and generations of your family rising up in every area. God needs you to increase! He wants to take the giftedness inside you and use it to influence others for the Kingdom.
You see, He gave authority on this planet to mankind. For God to move requires someone of faith to work with Him. When you believe His promises deep down, you receive them. Angelic forces take action. Healing happens at a subatomic level as the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead works in you (Romans 8:11).
I encourage you to wait on God daily. That's how David strengthened himself in the face of opposition. That's how Abraham stayed in faith even when the physical evidence seemed to contradict God's promise.
Whether you're waiting on Him in a tough season or a good one, look for the sunrise. Look for the runner on the hills. It's time to think bigger and declare God's goodness. Waiting on Him means celebrating the answer before it has even arrived!
