ILLUMINATE YOUR FUTURE

Then Jesus askedthem, “Wouldanyone light a lamp and then put it under a basket or under a bed? Of coursenot! A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light will shine.” Mark4:21 (NLT)

God’s Word wasn’t written to sit on the pages of a dusty Bible in your drawer. It needs to be placed on the lampstand of your life.

You see, the Word only works when you get it inside you. Like a lamp or a flashlight, it illuminates and enlightens you, shining into every cloudy corner of indecision. Instead of you having to fumble around in the dark, it will bring clarity on how to build great relationships. God’s Word shows you how to prosper, how to be healed and how to stay healthy and whole.

But in order to be able to illuminate your future, God’s Word needs to be moved to a higher place. When a light is under something, it does you no good. In the same way, God’s Word needs to be taken out from each page and moved up into your heart, where it can change the way you think.

Without the change in your beliefs that only His Word can bring, you will look back ten years from now and notice that you’re still struggling with the same financial problems, the same emergencies going on in your relationships, the same friends who keep bringing you down and the same old habits in your life.

On the other hand, if you make a daily habit of meditating on God’s promises and speaking them over your life, things will begin to change. Years from now, you will be able to look back and be amazed at how far you’ve come as a result of this one simple habit.
