And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:32 (NLT)
Have you ever tried something new that came to you naturally?
When some people sing, it looks as easy as breathing. Others can run with such ease that it seems effortless. You can likely think of something you can do that’s easy and natural for you, even though others find it difficult.
Well, the blessed life that God has for you is meant to come to you naturally in much the same way. You see, as a follower of Christ, you’ve received the nature of God and the mind of Christ. So… walking in God’s promises and His blessings can be as natural as breathing for you.
For example, financial freedom can start to come naturally to you. If it’s a struggle, it’s not because God is withholding something from you. A long-term struggle with finances is a clue that you may have a few misbeliefs in your heart about prosperity. According to Deuteronomy 8:18, God “gives you the power to get wealth” (NKJV, emphasis mine). You don’t need to beg God to meet your financial needs. Instead, ask Him to help you change your beliefs!
John 8:32 doesn’t say that when you know the truth, you have something to try to earn. It says that when you know the truth, that truth will set you free. Just keep planting beliefs in your heart by meditating on God’s Word. One day you’ll find yourself thinking, Okay, if Jesus is on the inside of me and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, then I am not going to live in debt anymore!
