"Your love for one another will prove tothe world that you are my disciples." John 13:35 (NLT)
Yesterday we saw how you have God's wisdom in your reborn spirit—the hidden man. Another thing you possess is His love.
Now, I'm not talking about an emotion. To love is to value someone. God's love enables you to know who you are in Christ and lead with a servant's heart. It also gives you the power to show love to unlovely people.
That doesn't mean you let anyone walk all over you. If you have to fire someone, for instance, you can release them in such a way that shows they are a person of value. You can confront others in love, be a leader in love and make the tough decisions while you still respect and honour people.
If you go through life showing value to those around you, then there's no need for false humility when you succeed. In fact, you can think as highly of yourself as you want as long as you do two things: give God the credit for who you are and esteem everybody as better than yourself.
Does this sound like a tall order? Well, when you were born again, this powerful love of God came alive in your spirit. It's not something you have to conjure up on your own. I met a man who once told me, "I'm praying God would give me more love. I mean, do you see the woman I'm married to?" But the thing is, you don't have to pray for more love to give. It's already in you!
The powerful, selfless love of God resides in your reborn spirit already. His nature and supernatural abilities are yours!
