For what great nation has a god as near to them as the Lord our God is near to us whenever we call on him? Deuteronomy 4:7 (NLT)
We’ve been talking about what it looks like to live such an amazing life that others are attracted to Jesus in you.
Today’s verse reveals that when God took the Israelites out of slavery and led them to the Promised Land, He wanted to show the world what His people were like. He wanted their lives to demonstrate how good He is.
Wherever you are today, you’re the salt and light of the world too. God needs you to rise up and live a life that causes people to ask, “What makes you so different? How do you weather all these storms and keep going strong? How is it that your marriage is still amazing after all these years? How are you so blessed?”
Now, it’s important to remember that the blessings of God aren’t something to seek after. Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (emphasis mine). As you make following Jesus your first priority, blessings will follow.
Everywhere you go, remember the calling on your life—the Great Commission to spread the Gospel (Matthew 28:18-20). And know that God has also given you the cultural mandate to be fruitful and multiply. This is one of the greatest ways you can share Jesus with others!
Go forth with the promises and presence of God upon you. He wants to bless you so that your life proves His goodness. It’s time to rise up and show the world that the best life is found in a relationship with Jesus!
