For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love. Galatians 5:6 (NKJV)
These days, we have personal access to more Biblical teaching than ever. We seem to think that gaining a deeper knowledge of the Word will produce more miracles, yet there’s still such a lack of results in many believers' lives. I’m not saying we shouldn’t study the Word. However, I don't want to only know the Word. I want to experience it. I want the revelation of God's love to change my life.
The truth is that you can't have faith for the miraculous until you first believe God loves you. Nothing you do matters until you realize that faith works through love. All the knowledge you gain, good deeds you do or promises you declare mean nothing without it. Love comes first.
Meditate on Ephesians 3:14-21. God isn't mad at you. He's not keeping a list of your sins. He's looking at you and saying, “You are loved.” That's the reason He sent His Son to take your place and die on a cross.
Verse 19 in the Amplified translation says, “[that you may come] to know [practically, through personal experience] the love of Christ which far surpasses [mere] knowledge [without experience...” As you begin to understand and experience God's love, it heals the broken-hearted beliefs that have been sabotaging your relationships. It replaces any temptation you face with a deep sense that you’re already loved and complete in Christ. It enables you to believe for the miraculous.
The more you realize you're unconditionally loved, the more you can trust God. And the more you trust Him, the more faith rises up within you. As it says in Romans 8:32, if God would not spare even His own Son for you, how would He not also give you all things?
