Praise Keeps You Strong

January 4, 2022

Why are youcast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for Ishall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God. Psalm 43:5 (NKJV)

Praising God is easy when everything is going right. But when things aren't happening the way you expected—when there are tears in your eyes, pain in your body or your marriage is falling apart—what then?

David's response in times of trouble was to praise God. David would ask himself, "Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad?"But he didn't stop there. He went on to declare, "I will put my hope inGod. I will praise Him again" (Psalm 43:5, NLT).

People say things like, "under the circumstances, this is the best we can expect." But you're not under your circumstances. You know the One who takes you over your circumstances like an eagle flying above the storm.

You may not have enough in your bank account, but God has everything you need. You might be running on empty, but you can rely on His strength. His favour is on your life. Get up and declare,"God, You’re going to see me through. I choose to put my hope in You!"

I've made a decision in my own life—even when things go wrong, I'm going to praise God from the valley. When storms come against me, when I'm in the middle of loss or betrayal, I'll still praise Him because I know He'll never leave me.

Asyou praise God, your mind, body and emotions are empowered with supernatural strength. When you declare His goodness, your words of faith are prophesying to your future. And when the smoke clears, you'll still be standing with Him at your side.
