Praise Takes You to the Next Level

November 1, 2021

Oh,magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. Psalm 34:3 (NKJV)

Have you ever flipped the calendar, excited for a brand-new year, only to realize last year’s problems haven't goneanywhere? If you've been feeling stuck emotionally, physically, relationally orfinancially, I want to show you how to get free.

The key to moving into what God hasfor you next is to praise HimYetpassionate praise is something many believers are missing in their lives.

Scripture describes praise as givingthanks, glorifying God, blessing His name and magnifying Him. To magnify is tomake something bigger. But if God is already infinite, how could you make Himany bigger? It's all about your focus—praising God causes your awareness ofHim to grow.

Someone once told me, "If Godneeds all this praise, He must be really insecure." I replied, "Godis completely secure in who He is. The problem lies in what we magnifywith our hearts."

You have a choice. You can eithermagnify God or zoom in on your problems. What your heart is focused onwill come out in your words—either murmuring and complaining or worship andpraise.

You're not meant to stay stuck whereyou are. There's hope. Jesus came to set captives free (Isaiah 61:1-3). But towalk in a new level of freedom starts with praise. Make a decisiontoday to verbally magnify God's goodness!
