REFUSE TO LET IT GO

June 27, 2022

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2 (NKJV)

Changing your attitude isn’t a monumental undertaking. To form a great attitude toward every area of your life, you need to stay open to new perspectives and make a few small adjustments.

As we’ve said, there are three steps involved in changing your attitude: choose, refuse and expect. Yesterday we covered the first one, and today we’ll discuss the second: refuse to let your positive attitude go.

Romans 12:2 teaches us not to be conformed to this world. While many people take this verse to mean that we need to stay away from worldly things, think about it as it applying to your attitude. You can’t allow the world to sway your thinking.

If all you do is listen to the news, you’ll never develop an exciting dream for the future. The news can’t predict your future, so why focus on it? Focus on God’s Word because believing in His promises will create your future!

People who think negatively are a dime a dozen. It’s as though they believe that Murphy’s Law (anything that can go wrong, will go wrong) is a verse from the Bible, but it’s not. Our God believes in you. He believes in your future. He loves you so deeply that He sent his only Son to die for you to give you everything you need!

I want to challenge you. Don’t let anyone or anything sway you into surrendering a positive attitude. Keeping a good attitude will determine your enjoyment in life and your level of success. Remember, you can accomplish so much more with a great attitude!
