Rewire Your Programming

Every human being is wired by God to succeed in life and walk in incredible joy, peace and love. But most people have been programmed for unbelief, sickness and heartache. Somewhere along the way, the world has got each of us thinking wrong ways and believing wrong things.

So, how do you reprogram your heart? It comes down to your words.

I've noticed that people who continually talk about something usually experience more of that thing. As a paramedic, there were a few patients who came in so often that the staff came to know them by name. These people always talked about being sick. Their eye could be twitching, and they would be convinced it was brain cancer. Sadly, some of them went on to experience exactly what they spoke.

Now, I'm not saying that everyone who's sick spoke that into their lives. But it's important to realize the power of our words to determine a new future.

As newlyweds, Sally and I decided to hold each other accountable if we ever caught the other person speaking words of doubt and unbelief. As you can imagine, this led to a lot of disagreements! So instead, we developed a new system to keep our tongues in line. If I said something like, "I'm so sick of this," Sally would reply, "I agree with that in Jesus' name." It made us think twice about the words we spoke.

Today, decide to declare God's promises. As the Word rewires your thinking and beliefs, you'll begin walking in a new direction—one full of the power and blessings of God!
