Signs of a Believer (Part 3)

August 17, 2021

“These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name...they will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.” Mark 16:17-18 (AMP)

We’ve been on a series about the signs that follow the life of a believer. Today, let’s look at the fourth and final sign.

4. You can lay your hands on the sick and they will recover.

Everywhere Jesus went, He touched people and healed them. As a believer, you have this same authority given to you! In fact, Jesus said in John 14:12 (NLT), “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.”

There are people around you who need physical healing. There are also those who are broken-hearted. They may be in the middle of loss, rejection or depression. You can share Jesus with them and bring them hope. As you pray for them, you’ll see the healing power of God flow into their bodies, minds and hearts.

As you go into your world, be on the lookout for opportunities. You’re empowered to share the Gospel, cast out demons and be recharged by praying in the Spirit. You don’t have to worry about sickness or poison, but you can walk in God’s supernatural protection. And everywhere you go, you can pray for people and see them made well!

Let’s not just hear God’s Word, but live it out. Why not start today? Share with someone what Jesus has done in your life and what you know about Him. You’ll begin to see miracles in the lives of your family, friends, coworkers and strangers as you share this amazing Gospel with them!
