Speak to Your Future

September 20, 2021
“In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:8 (NKJV)

When Jesus died and rose again, He made it possible for us to become members of the Kingdom of God, and in thatKingdom, all of His promises and blessings are ours.

The world likes to say, “You can’t have your cake and eat it too”, which is really saying you can be successful in one, maybe two areas at best. However, the blessing of God is different than the world where you only get what you earn. According to God’s Word, you CAN have your cake and eat it too! In other words, you can enjoy success in all areas—if you put the promises of God to work as a believer.

In today’s verse, Jesus even taught us the way to pray. The way you believe for, speak to and pray over your future could be worded, “Father, Your will be done in my life on this planet the way it will be one day when I’m in Heaven.”

Now, life isn’t perfect. There will be hard seasons we walk through in our careers and relationships or tragedies will happen. Life takes work! But during those tough times, we need to broaden our shoulders and declare, “His kingdom will never fail me and I’m putting my trust in Him.” The more we learn His promises, the more we gain wisdom regarding what to believe and how to handle people and life’s situations.

God’s plans for you include a hope-filled and prosperous future (Jeremiah 29:11). Believe it and speak it, and you’ll begin to put His promises to work in your life.
