THE GREATEST MIRACLE

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a newcreation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

What's the greatest miracle that ever happened? Is it the dead being raised or a person getting out of a wheelchair?

Actually, God's Word considers the greatest miracle to be when a person is born again. Yet many of us have missed the miraculous change that takes place in the hidden man when someone gives their life to Christ.

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they were born again backwards. As you read the account in Genesis 3, you see how fearful and guilt-ridden they became after they sinned. Why? Because the presence and nature of God had left their spirits. Since then, mankind for thousands of years has lived with a massive void.

But today as a believer, your hidden man is very much alive. The presence of God lives within you, and you have access to His supernatural ability.

The thing is, not many people know who they are. They pray incorrect prayers begging God for what Jesus has already given them. They weep and plead with God as if He's holding out on them, making them wait and suffer. Meanwhile, the Gospel is all about how Jesus made a way for us. He exchanged His life for yours and paid the price for you to walk in a new life.

The most incredible miracle is that people like you and me, who were once spiritually dead, can be reborn. As believers, we house God's incredible power in our spirits. His nature has come into our spirits and made us alive. The hidden man—the real you—is a new creation!
