Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105 (AMP)
Every day you have a choice: you can try to get by on your own ability, or you can speak God's Word and access His miraculous power.
What's amazing about meditating on and declaring the Word is that it lights up your path. It guides you in making career decisions, parenting your child or taking your marriage to a new level. You can read books on all these topics, but every person is unique. Holy Spirit will take the Word that you hide in your heart and use it to lead you personally and specifically.
Let me show you some of the verses I declare over myself and my family.
"I am the head and not the tail, above and not beneath in every business dealing (Deuteronomy 28:13). The blessing of the Lord makes me rich and He adds no sorrow to it (Proverbs 10:22). My children are like olive trees planted around my table (Psalm 128:3). God satisfies me with a long life (Psalm 91:16). The joy of the Lord is my strength (Nehemiah 8:10). I am strong in the Lord and the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10)."
When you speak the promises in faith, you wield the very weapon Jesus used—the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17). Jesus took time to meditate on the Word, and when He declared it over situations, the seas calmed, the sick were healed and the dead came back to life!
Allow God's Word to drive out any misbeliefs you've picked up and change how you think. Keep speaking, declaring and pondering His promises—and you'll usher incredible change into your world.
