For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you]. Luke 17:21 (AMPC)
Do you have goals you’re aiming for? Goals are great, but make sure you address your inner world as well.
Let’s say you decided to reduce your debt by paying off a hundred dollars a month. That would be a great goal. But if you didn’t really believe that you could do it, you would struggle.
That’s because you would also need to create an inner state of prosperity.
Now, when I mention having an inner state of prosperity, I’m not talking about getting to a place where you’ve finally arrived and money just begins to fall into your lap with no effort. When you create an inner state, it simply means that you’re making a daily choice to believe the truth of God’s Word.
As you study God’s Word to find out who you really are and what you’re empowered to do as a believer, you produce an internal change. Like any other habit you repeat, believing becomes easier. It becomes a part of you.
Walking in prosperity, health or any other promise from God still involves a daily choice to believe and a willingness to do whatever you can to create it. But as your beliefs begin to line up with what God says, you begin expecting and receiving the promise. You come to the point where you can see yourself having the end result you’ve been promised, and this belief goes to work to make it a reality in your life.
Keep going for your goals and setting new ones, but remember the power of your beliefs. Foster beliefs that line up with God’s promises. It’s the key to experiencing them in your life!
