YOU ALREADY HAVE IT TO GIVE

April 14, 2022

“Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” Acts 3:6 (NKJV)

In Acts 3:6 we find a quote from Peter that shocks many believers. Peter walked past a crippled man who was begging at the city gate when he said the line quoted in our verse today.

The shocking part lies with what Peter did not say. He didn’t say, “God has the ability to heal you, but since He’s up in Heaven, let’s have a little prayer meeting and see if He wants to do something about this situation.” That’s the way most Christians pray today, but that’s not what Peter said.

Instead, Peter said that he could give the man something that he already possessed! Peter used the name of Jesus, but notice that he didn’t ask God for healing. Peter said that he would give the man what he already had access to, and the man was healed.

This message is not popular in churches today because it’s viewed as prideful and arrogant. After all, who are we to say something so bold? But Peter wasn’t bold in his own power. He was confident in the power Jesus had made available within him.

No prayer meeting. No fasting and praying. No seeking God for His will in the situation. Just an openness to Holy Spirit’s guidance and a miracle happened!

Holy Spirit will guide you as well. He’s on the inside of you. When He leads you to do something, you can be confident that you have the equipment. You have everything you need within you to move the mountainous problem in front of you, no matter how big it may seem!
