When you were born again, you received more than God's nature—you also received His supernatural ability.
We're going to spend the next few days unpacking some of these abilities. The first is wisdom. When Jesus was talking to some Bible scholars in Matthew 12:42, He made a startling statement. Referring to Himself, He said that someone greater than Solomon was there. This was a lofty claim to make, since Solomon was the wisest man who had ever lived.
But what's even more amazing is that as a believer, you are also greater than him! You see, Solomon wasn't born again. He was given a gift of wisdom, but he didn't have the wisdom of God living inside him. You, on the other hand, have wisdom, understanding and knowledge of God's will (Ephesians 1:17, Colossians 1:9).
As you get into the Word, you realize that Holy Spirit Himself lives in you. Others may not know how to pull all the facts together and make a decision, but the presence of God in your reborn spirit will connect the dots for you and bring an answer.
You don't have to beg God for wisdom, because it's already your inheritance. King Solomon himself doesn't hold a candle to what's available in your reborn spirit. Next time you're not sure what to do, you can say, "Thank You Father that Your wisdom is in me. I have wisdom to raise my teenagers, handle my finances, make healthcare decisions and navigate every issue that comes my way."
