You Have An Inheritance

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will Ephesians 1:11 (NJKV)

I’ve heard that banks around the world hold unclaimed thousands of dollars, waiting for an heir of an estate to come forward. Imagine having wealth and property under your name, but because you don’t know about it, you never exercise your right to receive it. It’s the same with the inheritance Jesus has won for you.

Everything we need to know about our inheritance can be found in God’s Word. But just like a will, if you don’t read it, you’ll never know what you’re entitled to. And therefore, you will never receive it.

God’sWord doesn’t only teach you what you’re entitled to. It also goes to work on your deepest beliefs. We all have wrong beliefs that hold us back.But when you download the Word into your heart and mind, those beliefs are challenged and changed. This enables you to live out all of the blessings God has intended for you.

What’s amazing is that the words in the Bible are alive. Like seeds, they may look dead, but when you plant them inside you by meditating on them, you begin to grow peace, healing and joy.

Take some time today to examine your life. When you come across an area that you feel is lacking, find verses that speak about that area. Start meditating on those promises and declaring them out loud. God’s Word will take root in your heart and cause you to believe—and then you can release what God’s already given you.
