(As it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did. Romans 4:17 (NKJV)
If you’re still breathing, God has a plan for your life. There are places you’ve never been and things you haven’t yet done that are greater than anything you’ve done so far.
Romans 4:17 teaches us to talk about things that don’t yet exist in our lives as though they do, and this is the attitude to take in your prayer life. You don’t have to beg for compassion or forgiveness. You’ve already been given them! Instead, thank God for forgiveness and then look to His Word to find out what you’re entitled to so you can begin to claim those promises.
Confess God’s promises for your life out loud. Get in front of a mirror and say, “Every need I have is met (Philippians 4:19) and all things work together for my good (Romans 8:28)! I have the peace of God that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and because of Jesus’ sacrifice, I am healed (1 Peter 2:24)!”
This is your prayer life! Revelation after revelation and epiphany after epiphany, you can discover who you are in Christ until you begin to operate and function at a level of living you never thought possible.
Jesus said that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. He said that you can bind what is bound in Heaven and loose onto this planet what is loosed in Heaven. You have the authority! It’s time to rise up and recognize who you are!
