Jesus also said, “The Kingdom of God is like a farmer who scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, while he’s asleep or awake, the seed sprouts and grows, but he does not understand how it happens.” Mark 4:26–27 (NLT)
Today’s verses show how the kingdom of God works. It also explains how you can begin to see miracles in your life.
When you plant beliefs in your heart by meditating on God’s promises, these beliefs produce even while you’re sleeping. In Jesus’ parable, the man went to sleep after planting the seed and it grew anyhow—he didn’t even know how it grew. The same is true of your heart. You don’t need to worry about getting God’s promises to work in your life. Plant them in your heart, and they will produce!
Keep in mind that soil isn’t picky. As long as the conditions are right, it will grow crops or weeds—whatever is planted in it. If you’ve been focusing on negative, unhappy, depressed thoughts and beliefs, you may even wake up in a bad mood because your heart produces all night. Your heart will grow whatever you plant in it which is why you need to guard your heart.
Establish your heart on God’s promises instead. You see, having a heart that is established means you’re convinced of something. You’re fully persuaded. And when you’re faith-filled in any area, things begin to happen.
Oh, attacks can come and go. But you can be completely confident through it all thanks to who you are in Christ. Peace will radiate from inside you and your heart will release that confident belief into each situation.
When your heart is fully persuaded, it causes everything else in your world to begin to change!
