YOU’RE THE POWERFUL ONE!

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Ephesians 6:10 (NLT)

Ephesians 6:10 makes it clear that your strength and power are found in God.

You’re strong in power because you’ve accepted Jesus. And if you come to know who you are and understand the authority and power you have in Christ, the devil won’t worry you one bit.

Jesus completely defeated the devil. When Jesus died, He took our punishment, shame and condemnation and exchanged it for His peace, joy, righteousness and love. He gave us right standing with God as a gift. Jesus is the King of kings and the Lord of lords, sitting at the right hand of the Father with all authority and power, and as He is… so are we in this world (see 1 John 4:17)! The problem is that many of us don’t believe it.

You see, the battle we fight is within our own minds. It’s about fighting to believe what God says, because “all things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23, NKJV). Once you are fully persuaded about something, nothing can stop your victory from coming through.

The issue is not that you have to deal with a powerful devil; the issue is that the devil wants to shut you down because you’re powerful! He has no authority or power, so all he can do is try to trick you into limiting yourself.

You become the devil’s worst nightmare by knowing who you are in Christ! So continually work at convincing yourself of your right sanding with God. It’s a gift that Jesus earned for you! Fight to believe and receive every promise He has for you. You’re the powerful one in Christ!
