David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him… But David felt strengthened and encouraged in the Lord his God.

Whatever was written beforehand is meant to instruct us in how to live. The Scriptures impart to us encouragement and inspiration so that we can live in hope and endure all things.

For this reason, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ…that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

I have loved you, [just] as the Father has loved Me; abide in My love [continue in His love with Me].

Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.

And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

“Should we pull out the weeds?” they asked. “No,” he replied, “you’ll uproot the wheat if you do.”

If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.

These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

I hate those who are double-minded, but I love and treasure Your law.

So he answered and said, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’”

May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.

“Everything is meaningless,” says the Teacher, “completely meaningless!” What do people get for all their hard work under the sun?

You’re done with that old life. It’s like a filthy set of ill-fitting clothes you’ve stripped off and put in the fire. Now you’re dressed in a new wardrobe.

But to all who believed him, and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God—not with physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them."
