People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life, but those who ignore correction will go astray.

For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless… those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness.

See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!

But the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.

“There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.”

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead.

Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourself completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life.

But one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.

Be on guard; stand firm in your faith...Act like [mature] men and be courageous; be strong. Let everything you do be done in love [motivated and inspired by God’s love for us].

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

And David said...“Is there not a cause?”

But Caleb tried to quiet the people as they stood before Moses. “Let’s go at once to take the land,” he said. “We can certainly conquer it!” But the other men who had explored the land with him disagreed. “We can’t go up against them! They are stronger than we are!”

“Therefore you shall keep every commandment which I command you today, that you may be strong, and go in and possess the land which you cross over to possess.”

To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

For this I labor [often to the point of exhaustion], striving with His power and energy, which so greatly works within me.

No power in the sky above or in the earth below— indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.
