Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

“Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world.”

Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favour to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it.]

For because He Himself [in His humanity] has suffered in being tempted (tested and tried), He is able [immediately] to run to the cry of (assist, relieve) those who are being tempted and tested and tried [and who therefore are being exposed to suffering].

Since we are now joined to Christ, we have been given the treasures of redemption by his blood —the total cancellation of our sins—all because of the cascading riches of his grace.

For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God.

For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Oh Lord, God of Abraham Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep forever such purposes and thoughts in the minds of your people, and direct and establish their hearts towards you.

Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him.

And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.

Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit then he who takes a city.

For as he thinks in his heart, so he is.

You’re done with that old life, it’s like a filthy set of ill-fitting clothes you stripped off and put in the fire. Now you’re dressed in a new wardrobe. Every item of your new way of life is custom-made by the Creator, with his label on it.

He lifted me out of the pit of despair… He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.
